Dataedo delivers a robust database documentation system with support for SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, Microsoft Azure SQL Database, and Amazon Aurora. It enables you to build a comprehensive description of all the elements based on the database schema so that the purpose of the objects and the relationships between them gets easily understood by everyone.
Reads and imports the database schema to build the documentation
Dataedo comes with sample documentation repositories to help you get accustomed to the working environment. Adding new documentation to a repository requires you to connect to a running database instance so that Dataedo can import the schema.
You will notice that all the elements of the database are carefully displayed within the main window, in a tree structure that allows you to keep your work organized.
Dataedo logs tables, views, procedures, and functions, enables you to document dependencies, and generates ER diagrams. It also allows previewing of the table columns and all the relationships, the database keys, and triggers. Each of these elements has an editable "Description" field attached, which you can use to describe the role of each item or connection. And by monitoring your progress, you can estimate how much time it takes until you complete the data dictionary you are building.
Update the documentation when needed and export it to a file
The documentation repository can be updated anytime by reimporting the database schema, but without altering the existing descriptions. Therefore, if your database got new tables and new data, it will be easy to record it all in an existing documentation.
Thanks to the built-in wizards, new documentations can be added to the same repository, and specific sections can be easily removed.
It's possible to export the data to PDF, HTML or Excel formats, either using a standard or a printer-friendly template. Thus, the resulting files can be easily shared with others or printed on paper. You can choose the modules to include in the report and save the export command to make future exporting actions faster.
The generated document features an elegant design, with a clickable table of contents that is automatically generated, a legend, and a description of all the database objects.
A valuable database documentation utility
Dataedo is easy to work with, even if you are dealing with large databases. Not only that it can provide assistance in creating a complete database documentation, but it comes with the tools needed to keep it up-to-date without too much effort. That is the reason why Dataedo is a real asset for administrators or application developers who have to build a data dictionary for their databases.

Database Diagram Creator:
The Database diagram is a very useful tool to display all the objects of a database. It is a graphical representation of the database schema that lets you visually identify the relationships between the objects, their properties, and all the actions triggered on their insertion.
The diagram has a tree structure that displays all the database tables, views, and functions, including their dependencies. It is very similar to the one of the database structure, and it is easy to grasp once you are familiar with it.
After the diagram has been drawn, you can replace the tree structure with one that suits your needs.
Generate a diagram from the whole structure, from a specific table, or from a specific column.
Dataedo works with the database objects or only the table column structure.
This application is currently available on Windows only.
The Database Diagram Creator is a useful tool that not only enables you to graphically display all the elements of a database, but also gives you the possibility to replace the tree structure of the diagram.
The diagram is completely re-designed so that it is easier for you to grasp the meaning of the elements.
And with this tool, you can turn on, modify, and customize the display of the database schema to your needs.
Dataedo enables you to display indexes in the database schema tree. They are also represented graphically by the tool.
The indexes are displayed with the same hierarchy than the database tables, so that you can know them by the size they occupy in the database.
These indexes are more informative than they appear at a first glance, as they are grouped by indexes types (such as an index on a primary key, or on a column), and by their properties (is clustered, non-clustered, a unique or a key index).
To make the process simpler, it is possible to show the indexes you are interested in, in the main window only.
Dataedo comes with two wizards to help you to discover

Can’t install MS Access or Acces to ZTSTR
How to install MS Access Database in my C# program?
All I want to install is MS Access for an application I am creating.
I followed the instructions here
I installed runtime package for acces and visual studio but when I try to run it I get an error:
“Could not load file or assembly ‘Access_Run16, Version=22.214.171.124, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=6595b64144ccf1df’ or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.”
Would the problem be the version number? I have acces 2010 but I cannot find anything on the internet about changing it.
You can download a free MS Office 2010 trial. It gives you the limited edition of Access 2010, which lets you run a database in its limited editions mode.
I assume you are using your actual installer, not the downloads from the link you posted. This should contain the correct driver for your version of Access. So the question becomes: why is Access not installed.
In my experience the problem was that I installed your Access via its installer, but then used the 32 bit installation of the ODBC driver for it. Since the 32 bit driver could not find your 64 bit installation of Access it threw the error. I didn’t notice that it was 32 bit, because it was compiled to be 64 bit.
